Minuteman Missile Site To Premiere New Orientation Film

The Minuteman Missile National Historic Site will be premiering its first official park orientation film this fall, reports the Rapid City Journal. The film, titled “Beneath The Plains: The Minuteman Missile On Alert,” runs 30 minutes long and complements the exhibits installed two years ago.

The park will host screenings of the film in Rapid City, Pierre, Bismarck, ND, and Cheyenne, WY, as part of the premiere. Over Labor Day Weekend, there will be screenings of the film at the park’s visitor center every 40 minutes beginning at 8:15 am, with a final showing at 2:55 pm. There is no cost to view the film or visit the visitor center’s many exhibits.
