Developer Sues Rapid City

Orvil Davis, of Lazy P6 Land Co., is suing the city of Rapid City and its Mayor, Sam Kookier, on grounds that the mayor and other city officials have made false statements about the quality of the Lazy P6 development located south of Fifth Street and Catron Boulevard, reports the Rapid City Journal.

Mayor Kookier and Rapid City deny these allegations and have been granted a 20 day extension to respond to Davis’ requests for a formal apology and possible monetary compensation, as Davis maintains that city actions have damaged his reputation and property values.
