Belle Fourche School District

According the State of South Dakota's report card, the Belle Fourche School District 9-1 had a high school graduation rate of 89.1 percent in 2015, which was lower than previous year's rate but higher than the statewide average of 83.96 percent.

During the 2015-2016 academic year, the Belle Fourche School District had a total fall enrollment of 1,365 students in elementary, middle, and high school. With a 1.7 percent dropout rate, the district graduated 104 students. 52 students took the ACT exam. The Belle Fourche School District is governed by a seven-member board which meets on the second Monday of each month at 5:15pm at the Belle Fourche School District Administrative Office. The board’s meeting schedule, agendas for meetings, and board minutes are posted on the school district’s website.

Newell School District

The Newell School Board of Education is comprised of seven members and meets at 7pm the second Monday of each month in the AG classroom.

The Newell School District enrolled 346 students in the fall of 2014 in preschool through twelfth grade. According the State of South Dakota's report card, Newell’s high school graduation four year cohort graduation rate was 68.75 percent in 2016, lower than the previous.

During the 2015-2016 academic year, the Newell School District' had 0.0 percent dropout rate and graduated 12 students. 7 students took the ACT exam.
